Since multi-instrumentalists TWO TIMERS formed their unique two-piece band in Paris, France in 1993 they have surprised many thousands across Europe with the sheer power of their performance. Their formidable live reputation saw them undertake a 40-date theatre tour of France and earned them guest spots with artists as diverse as the Corrs, John Mayall, Taj Mahal, Maceo Parker, Joe Satriani and The Stranglers as well as billing on major European festivals. On returning to the U.K. in 2000 they guested on a 25-date tour of major venues across the U.K. as opening act for boogie legends Status Quo ... They will be playing festivals in Scandinavia, France and Belgium in 2006 as well as touring in the U.K.

Soulful vocalist / drummer/ harmonica player Sarah James combines instruments with breathtaking ease, her powerful voice reminiscent of Sam Brown or Julie Driscoll. Workhorse guitarist G.R. Russell (ex Geno Washington, Dr Feelgood) seamlessly segs from electric to acoustic, bottleneck to mandolin whilst footstomping an electrified suitcase (played like a bass drum). Whilst drawing parallels with early blues outfits, the energy-driven delivery owes more to John Spencer’s Blues Explosion or Led Zeppelin.
Get Rhythm: “The music sways from pop/rock to blues and the duo are more than capable of giving an extra spark to all musical forms. In the States they fit into the alt. country bracket, the place for those who can't be pinned down... memorable tracks, big guitar sounds and catchy lines, and can Sarah sing!”

Their 4 CDs of original self-penned songs have earned them a feature on BBC Radio 2 Paul Jones show and favourable reviews in the Times, Folk Roots and Get Rhythm.
The latest album “The Big Casino” has just been released on Credo Records and covers a broad spectrum of emotions, from the melancholy acoustica of “The Devil and the Deep Blue”, a tribute to Jeff Buckley,. to the raw rock protest of “Edgar Allen Poe”. There are echoes of Tom Waits and Elliot Smith in the murder ballad “Killing Time” and “Home” respectively. With some of James’ best lyrics to date, the sound is all the more impressive when recreated live by this biggest of little bands.
